What is the worship service like?
We gather for one purpose: to glorify Jesus Christ. We sing songs which point to Jesus and the gospel, whether the great hymns of the faith or more contemporary praise music. Our pastor’s expositional sermon is Biblically-based, Christ-centered, and makes a strong connection to our lives today.
Where is the worship service located?
We meet at 1586 McGavock Pike, Nashville, TN 37216. Our worship service is held in our sanctuary. Park in the parking lot at the corner of McGavock Pike and Fernwood Drive and walk across Fernwood to the building. You can enter one of two ways, the front entrance (facing McGavock, underneath the steeple) or the side entrance (facing Fernwood). If you use the side entrance, you’ll walk up a short flight of stairs and turn left to enter the sanctuary.
Do you have Sunday School or small group Bible studies on Sunday?
We have groups for preschool, children, students, and adults. These are “open groups,” purposely designed so that people can come on any Sunday and join the discussion.
Does Dalewood offer mid-week services?
Each Wednesday we gather at 6:00 for prayer and Bible study in our church sanctuary. For kids, our Wednesday KidZ also meets at 6:00 PM in the Christian Life Center (1514 McGavock Pike, on the other side of the parking lot from our main building).
What should I wear when I attend Dalewood?
Please dress casually and comfortably. Some of us will be wearing suits while others will be dressed in blue jeans.
What if I have more questions?
